Shazia Sultana is from Baldia. She has a great coordination with customers in her retail business. With the project activities for digital marketing she developed social media handles to expand her business online.

Samina Majeed

Samina Majeed is a talented and creative woman from Maripur. She has struggled for many years but she encountered many challenges in her life. Professionally she is tailor and provides services in her surroundings. She enhanced her stitching skill from KMA Vocational Center through the support of LIGHT-F Project. After a training session of Life Skill Management and Income generation have empowered her to start her business at home and also empower her family financially . Samina is running her Vocational Center entitled Mariyam Center.

Khadijah Asif

Khadijah is the resident of Maripur. She is energetic and hardworking women. She is working as a Home based worker from 5 years. Through Light-f Project training of Life skills Management and Income Generation sessions have developed her interest to start her business. She started catering services at her neighborhood. She has also started her business page at Facebook and WhatsApp after completed digital Marketing training. Her business is going great by taking food orders and catering services through online and offline platform.

Naila Naz

Naila Naz is a young, energetic and creative home-based worker from Maripur. The Light-F Project has improved her business skills through attending idea Generation and Digital Marketing Training. She is doing Balochi embroidery modifications with new designs and products. With the support of Light-F Project, she started her business entitled Sui Dhaga

Kainat Khattak

Kainat is a youngest female home-based worker from Baldia and belongs to Pakhtoon conservative family. From 8 years she is stitching clothes and teaching in different vocational centers in Baldia. She also knows the skill of embroidery and ribbon work. From LIGHT-F trainings she got chance to learn basic Fashion Designing course from Pakistan American Cultural Center-PACC. She loves to make creative designs and post on social media platforms especially on Instagram named Daast.saaz_official. Recently she is doing job in a vocational center and also getting orders from her colleagues and from Baldia community. Kainat is saving money for her own boutique and vocational center in Baldia.

Asiya Nazeer

Asiya Nazeer belongs to Pakhtoon family and from 10 years she is stitching clothes of community women in Baldia. After attending LIGHT-F trainings she learnt about business framework and developed business idea. Through trainings she got courage to run her own center “Sana Tailoring Center” at home. Now she is teaching stitching to community girls in two shifts and also selling stitching material at home. From her savings she purchases sewing machines and useful items to establish her vocational center.

Bakhtiar Orangzaib

Bakhtiar Orangzaib is working as a female home-based worker for 5 years. She belongs to Maripur Hawksbay. She has improved herself through the Light-F Project activity. Currently, she is running her vocational center name is Salika Man Centre at her home. Through LIGHT-F she improved her business skills by attending Life Course Management and income generation training she wants to establish her fashion boutique.

Sunita

Sunita, is a resident of Mayeshwari Muhallah Grex Maripur. She has completed her vocational training for 3 years and struggled a lot to make her own business before but she didn’t get anything. She joined the Light-F project and started her business home based. One of the positive outcomes of Suneeta attending an advanced fashion designing course from Pakistan American Cultural Center. Light-F has also motivated her through Income generation and LM sessions. Currently, she is running her own home-based business and affiliate with other organizations to teach other women.

Razia Parveen

Razia Parveen belongs to a middle-class family and struggling for 5 years to financially makes stable her family. She is a hardworking woman and talented. She attended Life skill management and income generation session. Meanwhile, she also completed her Beautician advance course from KMA Institute. Currently, she is affiliated with Tarbiath gah-e- Khawaten and also teaches other girls from her home. She is earning income with the support of the Light-F Project.

Sughra khan

Sughra khan is a talented and enthusiastic woman from Maripur . She has been working in the catering business for 2 years. She has completed her Culinary Arts course from Skills ton Institute with the assistance of the Light-F Project. She has empowered herself through digital Marketing and Income generation sessions. Currently, she is providing tiffin services in the school of Grex and also collaborating with other women to take orders.

BEENISH SULEMAN

Beenish is a talented Beautician from Baldia. She is currently running vocational center and serving as Beautician teacher. She started to market her skill on Social media platforms by getting project training of Digital marketing.

Mariyam Peer Mohammad

Mariyam Peer Mohammad belongs to the underprivileged area of Grex village of Maripur. She used to do Beauty services in her neighborhood, she attended Life Management Training and Digital Marketing training in LIGHT-F Project. Now she is promoting her Business through Social Media Platform. She has started a salon at home and facilitates beauty services door to door. She believes that being able to empower herself is also important to empower others as well.

Success Story of Abdul Ghafar AeN

Abdul Ghafar, 16 young talented Singer and Peace change maker in Maripur. In the early childhood of his life he started seeking platform where he can show his talent to change the community perspective regarding peace. Azme Naujawan became the life changing platform for Abdul Ghafar when he participated the AeN trainings and did Social Action Project in the community through Art .The idea of “Hamara Maripur” to remove the hate speeches and hate graffiti on the wall of Maripur, he worked with his team to remove such speeches and beautify the wall of community through peace massages and cultures of Marpur. It was quite challenging for him to work for countering the violent extremism in community and creating peace through Art. He mobilized the community and sanitized community members to participate with him because Maripur is the deprived area of Kemari Town and has lack of facilities of education and peace. In this regard after the SAP they pushed their ideas into action and createed their own welfare organization known as Silsila Foundation. Likewise, they started to work in the community voluntarily from the Silsila Foundation Platform and started campaigning to highlight the issues of Maripur through Social Media and documentaries. During social activities he got the opportunity to participate the IAMKHI Music Mentorship Program. Abdul Ghafar also demonstrated his singing skills at different platforms, celebrating Daniel Pearl World Music Day with the support of US Consulate General Karachi at Arts Council of Pakistan. He also showed his talent in Pakistan Star biggest Reality show in BOL News. After the establishment of Silsila Foundation as per the need of community they introduced language classes, Taleem-e-Balghan, art classes and storytelling at Center. The mission of spreading peace in communities will always remain alive by such talented stars of Azme Naujawan and WDFP

Community Peace Baithak (CPB)

Rozina Asif Buriro

Mozina Asif Buriro, resident of Maripur and the regular participant of daily yoga classes of Community Peace Baithak (CPB), is very happy to successfully start her own Yoga Center at her home for children and women of the community. Rozina, the Iron lady of the Maripur was eager to learn yoga at the beginning of yoga classes. She attended classes without any gap. She used to teach other lady participants in the absence of instructor. When she was asked about the hurdle while starting classes, she said that she was very confused and double minded to take the initiative. Earlier her family refused and didn’t support her. But something was different in her mind and she strongly intended to convince her family about the benefits of yoga. Later, she successfully motivated her husband. Now she has set up Yoga Center and invited women of the neighborhood to take yoga classes at her home. “It was the happiest moment in my life and I felt proud that I am contributing in household prosperity”. The message of yoga classes reached every house of the community like a fire in the jungle. Rozina while sharing her views said that she cannot control her emotions and very glad due to her achievement which had been impossible because of social and cultural taboos. She appreciated the CPB team that assisted her to set up yoga class because the yoga classes are convincing many women about its benefits such as more flexible, relieve from anxiety and depression, helps women who are going through menopause, control diabetes and high blood pressure and other body related issues. Rozina is now a legend with great responsibility and confidence; she welcomes to women of the community and feels delighted to become distinctive role model of the community
